Originally launched in 2010, the Nice Ride Minnesota bike share program boasts over 1500 bikes across 170 stations in the Twin Cities. The program re-opened for 2014 in mid-April and announced some major changes for users.
Founded in Minneapolis in 2010, the premise of 30 Days of Biking is simple. Pledge to ride your bike every day in April and share your adventures online. This year, 30DoB is on-track for over 4,000 pledges. Better yet, for every 30 pledges, a bike will be donated to a child in need.
Running more than 12 miles between Rochester and Pine Island, the Douglas State Trail passes through a scenic mix of forests and rolling pastures. Though the paved trail can be traversed on foot, in-line skates or skis in the winter, one of the best ways to experience it is on a bike.
